Performing Company
The Curtain Call Performing Company is designed to offer highly motivated dancers the opportunity to expand their dance knowledge and expertise. We do not compete, but promote intensive technical and performance education with required dance classes and the additional choreography pieces and rehearsals a dedicated student desires. We are also proud to teach our dancers the importance of giving back to their community with outreach programs involving cancer research and patient support.
The Curtain Call Performing Company is a 501(c)(3) Federal Not-For-Profit organization of students ages 5 through 18 under the guidance of Artistic Director Michelle Allison. These dancers also study with guest teachers and choreographers and learn a multitude of dance styles. Performers Camp in June is required in order to participate in Performing Company.
The Performing Company has traveled throughout Indiana and beyond performing at conventions and special events such as:
- 2012 Superbowl in Indianapolis
- 500 Festival Kids Day
- Kings Island
- Halftime Shows for Indianapolis Colts, Indiana Pacers, various universities
- Local retirement communities
- Little Red Door/Unite To Fight
- Disney World
- Lincoln Park Cultural Center (Chicago)
- Pigeon Forge
- Relay for Life, Dance Against Cancer
We respect the need for children to be well-rounded in their lives, therefore the time commitments for the Performing Company are designed to accommodate participation in school, church and club activities. Company dancers are excellent students in school and their leadership qualities make them fabulous role models in our community.
