Courtney Coirin


Courtney Coirin, a native of Yorktown, Virginia began her serious dance training at Virginia Regional Ballet under the artistic direction of Heidi Robitshek.  She is a graduate of the Governor’s School for the Arts and holds a Bachelor of Science from Butler University in Dance Arts Administration.  As a member of Butler Ballet she performed in full-length ballets including Sleeping Beauty, Coppelia, Cinderella, and The Nutcracker; as well as choreography from resident choreographers Susan McGuire, Marek Cholewa, Stephan Laurent, Cynthia Pratt, Derek Reid, Patrick Hinson, Michelle Jarvis, and Tong Wong.  Upon graduation, she returned to the Hampton Roads area as a member in the Todd Rosenlieb Summer Performing Ensemble, performing with local choreographers.

Beginning in the fall of 2014, Courtney became a company member with Todd Rosenlieb Dance and Virginia Ballet Theatre for two seasons.  She performed in original Erick Hawkins choreography, New Moon, as well as original works by Todd Rosenlieb, Ricardo Melendez, Starr Foster, Mina Estrada, David Keener, Ryan Corrison and other collaborating local artists. Courtney enjoyed performing for local schools through Young Audiences of Virginia and large local events, such as Hampton Roads Pride Festival.  Courtney was the Company Ballet Instructor for the four performing ballet companies at Eleve Dance Center in Yorktown, VA.  She currently teaches for Kids Dance Outreach; A local non-profit organization that teaches dance to under served children in the surrounding Indianapolis community.
